Polarising guarantees the confidentiality and privacy in the collection and processing of the data of its Customers and Users, fulfilling its obligations under the General Regulation on Data Protection, for which purpose we have developed this Privacy Policy.

It is Polarising’s commitment to ensure that the General Regulation on Data Protection will respect the security of your data.

For that purpose, Polarising developed the following Privacy Policy to guarantee the confidentiality and privacy in the collection and processing of the data of its Customers and Users.

The present covers this website, as well as other sites, microsites, forms and documents that mention the referred policy.

Within the scope of this Privacy Policy, Polarising defined as:

  • Customer: any entity that acquires our services; and
  • User: any visitor to this website, as well as other sites and microsites that mention the referred policy and/or subscribers to our list of electronic content (Newsletter).

The user expressly authorises Polarising to send information about products and services that may be of his/her interest using his/her personal data for the purpose of direct marketing through any communication channel. Namely, through the use of electronic mail, telephone, SMS, MMS or other forms of automatic calling. Polarising will not trade or share its customer database with third parties.

Data Access
Polarising does not disclose to third parties any personal data of its Customers and Users without their consent, except (1) when they are Polarising companies (inside the P8G Group); (2) when such might be necessary for co-workers, employees, suppliers or trading partners of Polarising to be able to provide a product or service or perform a function on behalf of Polarising; or (3) when so required or permitted by law.

Polarising shall take reasonable precautions to ensure that its employees or coworkers with access to personal data are properly trained in their correct processing with respect to this policy and legal data protection obligations. In the event of non-compliance, Polarising will apply disciplinary sanctions to its employees and coworkers.

Whenever Polarising discloses your personal data, it will safeguard the compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law, in particular by providing contractual arrangements to ensure that the third party uses the data received only for the purposes specified and in accordance with the purposes described in this policy, and makes use of appropriate means of security in order to protect the personal data of the user against illegal or unauthorised processing as well as against their accidental loss, destruction or other harmful actions.

Data Storage

Polarising stores data for its customers and Users on its servers located in Portugal. These servers are protected and maintained according high standards of security and in order to comply with applicable privacy laws.

Data Storage Time
The period of time for the storage and preservation of the personal data of Customers and Users of Polarising varies according to the purpose.

The personal data of the Users of our website and microsites will be preserved until they remain active and are deleted for the purpose of this use.

The personal data provided for our content distribution mailing list will be stored until the end of its use. In this case, Customers and Users may cancel, at any time, the subscription of the alerts through the unsubscribing option provided.

Customer data and other specific data to be kept complying with Polarising legal obligations may be extended for a maximum period of up to 10 years (according to the article 130 of the Corporate Income Tax Code), after which it will be eliminated.

Data Security
Polarising has taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to adequately protect your data regarding unauthorised processing and access.

Polarising carries out all reasonable efforts to prevent the unauthorized or illegal use of the user’s personal data, as well as its loss, destruction or damage. However, Polarising cannot provide an absolute guarantee relative to User data. Whenever there is a breach, loss or violation of personal data that is likely to pose a high risk to the rights and freedom of its Customers and Users, Polarising will:

  • Notify the control authorities within 72 hours of being aware of the incident
  • Report the situation to the affected data owner(s) in timely manner.

Polarising guarantees the security of the user’s personal data through the following means: (1) use of encryption with certificate in all communications of the website; (2) use of password to access the website; and (3) limitation of access to personal data (eg. access only to employees or coworkers of Polarising who need to access them for the purposes described above).

Polarising’s website, microsites and social platforms may contain links to other websites and email addresses of other companies. This privacy policy does not apply to such websites and email addresses.
